Privacy policy

The short version

We collect nothing. Withory has no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no bank login and no servers of ours. Your private wallet stays on your device. Your shared wallet syncs to your partner through your own iCloud — and only the two of you can see it.

What the app stores, and where

Your private wallet stays on your iPhone. It is never synced to your partner and never leaves your own iCloud account. A private entry does not enter the shared split.
Your shared wallet is replicated to your paired partner through Apple’s iCloud (CloudKit), inside the iCloud accounts of the two of you. We have no routine access to it and cannot read it.
No bank data. Withory never connects to a bank and holds no bank credentials — you enter expenses yourself, so there is nothing of that kind to store or breach.
Purchases are processed by Apple. We receive no name, address or payment details.

Sync, and who is responsible for it

The shared wallet is stored in your own iCloud account and shared with your partner through CloudKit (a shared record both of your devices can reach). The private wallet is never part of this — it stays in your own private iCloud database and crosses to no one. For the app data we sync, Oomny B.V. is the data controller and Apple acts as our processor, storing and syncing the data on your behalf under Apple’s terms and iCloud security. Because the data lives in your account, the simplest way to access, export or delete it is on your own devices and in your iCloud settings; if you need help exercising a right, contact us. Where Apple processes this data outside the EEA, the transfer relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses.

This website

No cookies, no analytics, no embedded third-party content. The web server keeps standard technical access logs (IP address, time, page) for operation and security, retained briefly and used for nothing else (our legitimate interest in running and protecting the site).

Your rights (GDPR)

You have the full set of rights under the GDPR — access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability — over any personal data we process. For your app data, that lives in your own iCloud and is yours to access and delete directly; for anything else, contact us and we’ll respond promptly.
